We wound our way through many market streets to marvel at the Hassan II mosque.
Surprisingly, the mosque is part of what's "new" in Casablanca with the completion of construction in 1993. It has the tallest minaret in the world (210m) and a retractable roof!
With the Atlantic ocean as it's backdrop, it is quite awesome!
As promised, we made our way back to Rick's Cafe for dinner.
Also a "new" addition to Casablanca, the famed gin-joint, did not actually come to be until 62 years after its fictional incarnation in the 1942 Casablanca movie.
The food was excellent, the ambiance was classy, but... we looked, and the papers weren't in the piano! Drat!!
