Wandering the streets and parks of Casablanca we saw some interesting architecture, but a lot of the area seemed under construction or restoration, preventing us from getting close to some areas.
The city is an interesting mix of old and new and crumbling and construction.
And in some instances; the old and new are fused.
We got as close as we could to the Casablanca Cathedral/Sacré-Coeur (closed for restoration) which was built in 1930 and became a cultural centre in 1956.
We had some difficulty locating the famous Rick's Cafe, even though we were right across the street. We were worried that it was another point of interest that had succumbed to the bulldozer.
We were able to secure a reservation and will revisit it tomorrow night for dinner (now that we can find it).
