July 3 – Cousins Galore

This morning we took the gang to a local outdoor pool for the public swim.  Fun was had by all - sliding, floating, and lounging around.

Today, Dave’s parents opened their home to our many relatives in the area. Our afternoon was spent catching up and marveling at how much all the children have grown.  The kids enjoyed running around with their first, second, and third cousins!!

And our young entrepreneurs, Jonah, Lukas and Ben, charmed out visitors into buying lemonade at their Lemonade Stand (25 a cup).  They made almost $10 for their “charity” (yet to be determined…).

Our friends, Jane and Paul, were also able to join us and we got to meet their sweet baby, Ellen.

Although it was only for part of a day, it was still great to spend the afternoon with everyone.
After such a busy day, the kids were very tired and settled to bed quickly.  Once again, we took this opportunity to sneak away; this time to see Super 8.  Although it was not a very cerebral movie, there were a lot of moments that made me jump.  And it was nice to get out with Henry and Yuriko.
