This morning, when everyone woke up, Dave and the kids went to the beach. It was low tide, so they walked out as far as they could go, exploring tide pools and collecting shells as they went.
Afterwards, we ventured out of Cadiz, but not so far as yesterday - just across the Bay of Cadiz to El Puerto de Santa María.
Our intent was to go at noon and explore the Sherry Bodegas, but the next ferry boat wasn’t until 2 because of low tide in Santa Maria. So we did some shopping and had lunch. Unfortunately by the time we got to Santa Maria…everything was closed. So, we wandered around looking at the outside of some buildings – the bullring, a gothic cathedral,... and sherry bodegas. We had some ice cream and then headed back across the bay.
No one really complained. The kids thought the highlight was the Catamaran ferry...which, I guess, really it was.
We finished off the day with a trip to the beach.
Perhaps we’ll revisit the bodegas a little earlier tomorrow…tide permitting.
